The Spotlight/Amplify package showcases a resort/DMO’s calendar, offerings, and photography.
The package includes editorial plus extensive promotions, so when skiers engage with the
OnTheSnow website, mobile app, email newsletter, and social channels,, your content will be there to greet them.
Spotlight/Amplify campaign consists of:
• Sponsored article
• Photos to accompany the article
• Branded Display Ads (provided by the Partner)
• Promotional placement (created in-house by Mountain News)
Article Specifications
• Text: 500–1,000 words news story
• Include hyperlinked text (up to 5 links), e.g., lodging, lift tickets, events
• Optional: YouTube video link (72dpi)
Photo Specifications
• Image resolution: minimum 1920×1280
• Format: JPG (horizontal only)
• A minimum of 5 images for consideration
• Provide captions and credits
Branded Display Ads (Provided by Partner)
• Image – 728×90, 300×250, 300×600, and 160×600
• Image Format – JPG, GIF, PNG, HTML5
• Total Size – less than 200kb (1,000kb for HTML5)
• Animation – less than 3 loops, no blinking text
• Link – redirection url (unless you provide click tag)
• 3rd party tags accepted (tags must be secured)
Promotions (Created in house by Mountain News)
• Includes homepage and newsletter placement, mobile inbox, social posts, and ROS display units
• Partner should provide logo + brand guidelines for Mountain News to refer to when building the promotional materials
Logo Specifications
▪ Vertical layout: at minimum 160 x 160 px
▪ Horizontal layout: at minimum 400 x 100 px
▪ Image Format – JPG, GIF, PNG
▪ Logos should be provided in color and in white.
▪ OPTIONAL: a transparent background if it fits with your brand guidelines
▪ File size: should not exceed 50kb
• Partner completes and submits a content brief to MN
• MN and Partner meet in a Kick-off call to walk-through the process
• MN shares a workback schedule and outline of the article
• MN staff collaborate with Partner to align with customer’s brand tone and messaging and finalize the article
• Maximum of 2 rounds of revisions are included
• Final copy is published at scheduled time and date after partner’s approval
